About the Workplace Nödinge/Kyrkby is a grades F–6 school in Nödinge, near Ale torg, with approximately 650 students. The school is divided into a lower grades and middle grades building and has a large shared schoolyard. We work in professional teams with the student's entire school day in focus. The school is PALS-certified. PALS (Positive Behavior Support in Schools) is a research-based approach that aims to create a safe, inclusive, and predictable learning climate. Job Responsibilities You are an engaged and knowledgeable educator with the competence to plan, develop, and follow up your instruction based on the curriculum and on students' varying needs, with the goal that every student develops as far as possible. You can create a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment and actively work with values and strengthen community within the group. Mentorship is part of the position, and you support students' academic and social development based on the school's educational mission. You maintain good and continuous contact with guardians regarding students' development and learning. Work preventatively and promotively for students' health and learning, and be attentive to support needs and, when necessary, implement adjustments and support measures. An important part of the assignment is to collaborate with colleagues in the work team and across the school to develop instruction and operations based on the goals in our systematic quality work. Cooperation with student health services and other professionals to create the best possible conditions for each student happens in daily work with a preventative and promotional focus. Qualifications You are a licensed teacher with authorization to teach in grades 1–3. It is a merit if you have education in special education or experience with special education work, or if you have studied Swedish as a Second Language. Experience teaching in grades F–3 is a merit, but we also welcome newly graduated teachers. We see that you have good knowledge of the curriculum (Lgr22) and the ability to implement it in your instruction, as well as good didactic skills and understanding of how students learn in the early school years. You are welcome to have knowledge and experience in differentiating instruction to promote all students' learning and varied needs.
