As a parent advisor, you will be part of the Individual and Family Care Administration and belong to a work team of 20 people within the Prevention and Early Support unit. In addition to parent advisors, the unit includes field activity coordinators, staff within Lyktan support groups, and specialist social workers. The work involves many different contact points, and you need to be comfortable and thrive working in others' arenas, networking, and creating holistic solutions with other operations. WORK TASKS As a parent advisor, you will primarily work to create trustworthy relationships with children and their guardians. The work tasks include offering support in the form of early parenting strengthening interventions individually and in groups, being available for advice and support to guardians or other close relatives, being a sounding board for school and preschool staff, participating and informing at parent meetings, and having a coordinating, guiding, and linking function between guardians and society's various support functions. You are also a link between social services, family, and school staff when there is a need for concern notifications to social services, with the aim of promoting good cooperation and acting as a gateway to social services' other operations when there is a need for more extensive interventions. Being a parent advisor means you need to be a humble and solution-oriented person who is self-directed and comfortable taking your own initiative and driving help processes. In the role of parent advisor, you will be able to play a decisive role in children's futures. This position will be directed toward preschool operations. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are not afraid to venture into uncharted territory and who, together with your colleagues, want to shape and develop something new, exciting, and positive for the municipality's children and young people. You are used to driving processes and enjoy doing so in smaller and larger contexts. We are looking for you who are a social worker or have a degree from another higher education that the employer deems equivalent. To carry out the work, you need to have experience in social work with young people and their families from the individual and family care arena. You need to have good knowledge of social services' mission and organization as well as other social systems, in order to function as a sounding board for other professionals and contribute with suggestions for constructive interventions aimed at children and young people. Great weight will be placed on personal maturity and suitability for performing the assignment. For the position, a B driver's license is required. Employment form: Permanent employment.
