Job Responsibilities
As a project manager, you will direct, lead, and coordinate road projects. You are responsible for ensuring that projects are completed according to the decided scope and within established timeframes and cost budgets. You will work closely with project engineers and lead one or more project groups consisting of specialists, consultants, and contractors. In most cases, you will be the central point of contact for project-related questions. In your role as project manager, you will distribute work between internal support resources and specialists as well as external suppliers.
Your role also includes contact with the public, as well as with municipalities, other authorities, and media. As a project manager at Trafikverket, you will lead varying projects, such as new construction and reconstruction of roads, public transportation initiatives, pedestrian and cycling paths, and more.

Qualifications
Who Are You?
We are looking for someone with strong collaboration skills who builds trusting relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and other stakeholders. You communicate clearly and adapt your message according to the recipient and situation. You also have good leadership skills and the ability to drive projects forward by creating engagement, structure, and clarity. Additionally, you have strong analytical problem-solving abilities.
We are looking for someone who
has a university or college degree of at least 180 hp (120p) in roads, construction, or urban planning, or alternatively other education and experience that Trafikverket deems equivalent
has several years of current and relevant work experience as a project manager, assignment leader, or site manager, or alternatively other experience that Trafikverket deems equivalent
has current and relevant work experience with responsibility for budgets and financial monitoring
has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
has a driver's license for passenger vehicles
It is a merit if you
have current and relevant work experience in road construction project management, or alternatively other experience that Trafikverket deems equivalent
have current and relevant work experience with AB, ABK, or ABT
have current and relevant contract negotiation experience
