As an applications technician at Duroc Machine Tool, you'll combine technology and customer interaction in a role where you have great scope to develop, solve complex problems, and make a concrete difference for your customers' production. Duties and Responsibilities: As an applications technician at Duroc Machine Tool, you'll have a central role in helping customers maximize performance from their CNC machines and machining processes. You work closely with both customers and colleagues, combining technical problem-solving with hands-on work at the machine. You will work on developing and optimizing machining processes, programming and testing customer parts, as well as commissioning and verifying new CNC machines. The role also involves participating in FAT and machine demonstrations and conducting training for customers in machining and programming. You'll be important technical support for both customers and internal functions, and you'll work closely with sales staff, project managers, service technicians and suppliers. The role is varied and suits you if you enjoy switching between problem-solving at the computer, practical work at the machine, and customer dialogue. Travel and overnight stays are part of the job as you work at our customers' locations throughout Sweden. Your main responsibilities: Develop and optimize machining processes Program and test customer parts and commission new CNC machines Participate in FAT and machine demonstrations Provide technical support to customers and internal functions Conduct training in CNC machines and programming Collaborate with sales staff, project managers, service technicians and suppliers Document programs, processes and working methods As an applications technician with us, you'll have the opportunity to develop through continuous learning, practical work and close contact with both customers and colleagues. Your Profile: To succeed in the role of applications technician, you need to have a technical interest and enjoy solving problems together with the customer. You're curious and like to understand how things work and how different machining processes can be improved. You are pedagogical and communicative and have an easy way of building trust with both customers and colleagues. You can explain technical solutions in a clear and engaging way and are unpretentious in your approach to collaboration. At the same time, you are analytical, solution-oriented and structured, with the ability to independently drive technical tasks from problem to solution. To succeed in the role, we see that you have: Experience with CNC machining, preferably in both turning and milling Good knowledge of CNC programming and experience with one of the control systems Heidenhain, Fanuc or Siemens Good understanding of tools, cutting data and different machining strategies Knowledge of drawing reading, tolerances and measurement techniques Good Swedish and English in speech and writing B-category driving license and ability to travel for work Experience in CAM programming, 5-axis machining and automation or robotic solutions is a merit, but not a requirement.
