About the Position As an Applications Specialist (Physical Security), you are part of the Preparedness and Security Applications unit. Together, you manage application operations and support for several critical applications and systems at Svenska kraftnät. You will play a central role in ensuring that applications and systems within physical security have high availability and function as intended for users. Your contribution will have a direct impact on a society-critical operation where you collectively secure Sweden's energy supply. In the role, you participate in operations-related activities with a focus on delivery collaboration with other IT teams, such as server and network teams, as well as external vendors. Together, you ensure that systems maintain the right availability and quality. It is an operations-focused role that requires you to see the bigger picture and understand relationships within IT infrastructure. You will become the unit's technical expert in the area and will be able to put your mark on work methods to drive both change and improvement initiatives. In collaboration with other colleagues, you will also contribute to business development within application management and development. Key Responsibilities: Incident handling and problem-solving: Analyze, resolve, and document incidents and problems. Act as a specialist: Be the primary contact for system-specific questions and share your expertise internally. You have close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders. Support users in the organization: Ensure technical business support and assist with user-facing technical questions. Implement changes and improvements: Configure and adapt applications, drive development and improvement initiatives, and lead cross-functional activities. Document and specify technical requirements: Ensure current system documentation and produce materials for reporting, changes, and decision-making. Ensure IT security, high availability, and quality: Meet high requirements for IT security and robustness according to applicable governance documents and processes. Environmental monitoring: Follow technical developments, relevant threat landscapes, and innovations in the field. The Preparedness and Security Applications unit consists of management leaders, system owners, applications specialists, and system developers. In addition to playing an important role within the unit, as an Applications Specialist you will also support other units, which means you will work broadly across various business areas. You are analytical and are accustomed to weighing different perspectives in your recommendations and decisions. You are also persistent and structured in your work approach. You also have relevant academic education from a university or college, or equivalent competence acquired in another way that Svenska kraftnät considers equivalent.
