We are now seeking several AI application experts who want to contribute to the implementation and use of advanced AI methods across a broad spectrum of areas, including engineering and tools, data, life science, materials science, autonomous systems, education, and other emerging application areas. These positions offer a unique opportunity to work together with researchers, companies, public organizations, and AI specialists within the EuroHPC AI Factory initiative, as well as to help users transform ideas and data into AI solutions with real impact. About the Job As an AI application expert, you will support users and projects in applying AI methods, tools, and workflows to real-world challenges. Depending on your background and interests, you can contribute within one or more application areas. We welcome applicants with expertise in one or more of these areas. You are not expected to cover all areas, and we encourage specialists with deep competence in their field to apply. The role combines practical technical work, user support, collaboration with domain experts, and participation in the development of AI services and best practices within MIMER and the broader European AI ecosystem. Responsibilities AI Application Support and Expertise Support researchers, companies, and public organizations in the implementation and use of AI technologies. Contribute expert knowledge in one or more areas, such as life science, materials science, autonomous systems, data science, AI tools, or education. Help identify appropriate AI methods, workflows, and technologies for specific use cases. Project and User Collaboration Work directly with users to understand their challenges and translate them into AI-based solutions. Provide guidance on data preparation, model development, evaluation, and deployment. Contribute to pilot projects, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept activities. Knowledge Sharing and Community Building Develop documentation, tutorials, educational materials, and examples. Participate in workshops, training initiatives, and communication activities. Contribute to building a strong national and European AI community. Collaboration and Innovation Collaborate with experts from academia, industry, and the public sector. Contribute to identifying new opportunities for AI use and innovation. Participate in the continuous development of MIMER's services and support offerings. About You We are looking for you who have: A master's degree in AI, computer science, data science, engineering, life science, materials science, applied mathematics, or a related field. Practical experience with AI, machine learning, data analysis, or related computational methods. Ability to apply technical knowledge to real-world problems. Experience from research, industry, public sector, or innovation projects. Interest in AI technologies and their practical applications. Ability to work in interdisciplinary and collaboration-oriented environments. Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse audiences. It is particularly advantageous if you have: Experience with modern AI methods such as generative AI, foundation models, or machine learning applications. Experience with HPC, cloud-based environments, data platforms, or scientific computing environments. Experience in one or more relevant areas such as life science, materials science, autonomous systems, AI in the public sector, or industrial AI. Experience developing educational materials, providing user support, or working on collaborative projects. Experience with European research infrastructure, EuroHPC, or international collaborations. Very strong proficiency in Swedish. Your Workplace MIMER AI Factory is part of a European initiative to strengthen the development of reliable and competitive AI in research, industry, and the public sector. Through advanced supercomputing infrastructure, expert support, and international collaboration, we enable the development of AI solutions for research, business, and public administration. Operations are conducted in close collaboration between Linköping University, NAISS, and RISE. About the Employment Fixed-term employment, 1 year full-time, 100%. Start date by agreement. This recruitment concerns 10 positions. The position may be classified as security-sensitive. If so, a security vetting with record check will be conducted before an employment decision is made.
