The Medications Unit currently has 35 employees. The majority of us are pharmacists, but we also have other professional categories employed in the unit. Our mission is to promote safe, appropriate, and cost-effective medication use and medication supply, as well as to provide operational and strategic support to healthcare operations. Organizationally, we are placed under hospital care and geographically we are located at the hospital in Växjö, but our mission covers the entire Kronoberg region.
The Medications Unit's assignments are within three main processes: medication supply, medication use, and care-adjacent medication support. Within these processes, we work with, among other things, hospital pharmacy functions with in-house supply, preparation of cytostatics and radiopharmaceuticals, medication carts, medication services and management of medication dispensers, emergency supplies, participation in medical committees/medication committees, medication recommendations, information and education, monitoring and analysis of medication use, medication reviews, clinical pharmacy, ward preparation, referrals/medication questions, and patient education.
One of our colleagues has chosen to move on to another role outside the Medications Unit, and we now need to recruit a replacement.

JOB DUTIES
We are seeking a licensed pharmacist, alternatively a licensed pharmacy technician with a master's degree in pharmacy, who will be responsible for our assortment work and handling of remaining stock situations for both outpatient and inpatient care.
Depending on operational needs and your competence, in addition to assortment and stock work, you will also work with other parts of our operations.
Duties may become relevant at both of our hospitals in Växjö and Ljungby.
QUALIFICATIONS
You are a licensed pharmacist, alternatively a licensed pharmacy technician with a master's degree in pharmacy.
You have knowledge and experience with assortment analysis, inventory management, and availability issues. Furthermore, you have knowledge and insight into regional medication work and an understanding of healthcare medication supply. You have good knowledge of Excel.
You take own initiative and are structured, communicative, attentive, cooperative, and have a very good ability to express yourself well in Swedish both verbally and in writing. You have high integrity and can clarify and stand behind decisions made. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
After introduction, you work independently with your own responsibility to plan your work in dialogue with your supervisor and colleagues.
