The Guidance Center is part of the Skills Supply Office. We create conditions and provide tools for people to change their own lives, so that the path to work and self-sufficiency becomes short. Here you get to be part of making a difference by helping more Norrköping residents find the right path toward education, work, and self-sufficiency, while also playing an important role in reducing the skills shortage in our municipality. Our office is located in central Norrköping at Hospitalsgatan 20, close to most things, and the Guidance Center unit consists of 25 employees. At the office, we have over 350 employees who are responsible for adult education from Swedish for Immigrants (SFI) to vocational university, subsistence support and other assistance according to the Social Services Act, municipal labor market initiatives, civic orientation, and settlement regulations. Your responsibilities As an admissions coordinator with us, you work with qualified administration and varying tasks related to the admissions process within municipal adult education. You are responsible for government administration within the admissions process, handle web applications, and make decisions regarding eligibility and admission to education programs. The work is characterized by continuous admissions year-round and involves many contact points. You have ongoing contact with students, teachers, study and career counselors, and other collaboration partners. The role also includes developing statistics and analysis materials, handling confidential documents, and performing other administrative tasks. Who are you? We are looking for someone with at least a high school diploma. A college education is a merit, for example in pedagogy, social sciences, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. You have experience with qualified administrative work and government administration, where you have worked in complex administrative systems while also interpreting and applying applicable legislation. It is a merit if you have experience with laws, agreements, and guidelines that apply to municipal operations. We would like to see that you have experience with administrative systems in adult education, such as the Alvis system or other similar admissions systems. You have knowledge of adult education regulations and very good knowledge of government administration. You have the ability to interpret legislation and ordinances, particularly within the Education Act, the Local Government Act, and the Ordinance on Adult Education. You understand the importance of staying updated on legislative changes that may affect your work. You have very good skills in Excel and Word and are accustomed to working in a structured and thorough manner. You deliver tasks and results with high quality and within set timeframes. As a person, you are organized, clear, and thorough in your working method. You are collaboration-oriented, share your knowledge, and contribute to good teamwork. You are stress-resilient and can maintain a calm and positive attitude even in pressured situations. You work independently, take responsibility for your tasks, and ask for support when needed to ensure effective execution. You are flexible and adapt easily to new working methods, organizational changes, and different conditions. You work goal-oriented with a long-term perspective and have patience in complex processes. You have the ability to recognize and appreciate differences and understand how background and group affiliation can affect both yourself and others. As a person, you are confident in yourself and have the ability to separate the personal from the professional, which contributes to a respectful and solution-focused working method as well as a pleasant work environment.
