About the Role Do you want to be an enabler of future electricity grid connections? Investing, expanding, and maintaining the electricity grid is part of our daily operations. Within Västerbergslagens Energi, we currently have just over 85 employees who together accelerate our digital transformation, test and implement new technologies that contribute to increased delivery reliability and service quality for our customers. We are in a growth phase to meet our customers' needs and contribute to the energy transition, and we are now seeking a Connection Engineer. Would you like to join our journey? Your Responsibilities As a Connection Engineer with us, you play a vital role in ensuring a smooth process from customer inquiry to completed connection. You will have a key role in the customer experience and work closely with colleagues, electrical installers, and contractors on connection matters. You will: Quote, plan, and design electrical grid connections and modifications on customer request Perform electrical grid calculations and cost estimates and develop technical solution proposals Order contractor work, review preparations, follow up, and account for project finances Manage and coordinate contact with customers, installers, and contractors Work independently but in close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders on connection matters Continuously ensure that we always follow the most recently updated laws, regulations, standards, guidelines, policies, and procedures You will be part of a workplace characterized by commitment, collaboration, and openness. Requirements Secondary education in electrical engineering or with a technical orientation Work experience from the power industry or as an electrical installer/industrial electrician is desirable, preferably in high and medium voltage Fluent Swedish, both spoken and written, and good understanding of English are required Good computer and system skills are a requirement as a large part of the work is conducted in various IT systems Desirable: a degree as a civil engineer or engineering technician, or alternatively a vocational higher education diploma (YH) with a focus on electrical power/energy technology We are looking for you if you thrive in a role where you get to handle challenges at the intersection of technology, customers, and society.
