Sätoftaskolan is an F-9 school with an attached after-school center. The school also houses the municipality's adapted primary school for grades 1-9. The school is beautifully located near a lake and forest with an inspiring outdoor environment. It is possible to get to and from school by public transportation.
Approximately 500 students attend the school. The school has one principal and two assistant principals. Staff members work in various teams and learning groups led by the school's team leaders/lead teachers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a special educator with strong special education knowledge and experience working with students with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), with a focus on student learning. To succeed in this role, you work goal-oriented and systematically. You are skilled at prioritizing your assignments and can work independently as well as in teams. As a special educator, you have strong abilities to structure, organize, and follow up on your work. Your responsibilities include staff mentoring and specialized educational interventions directly with students in the adapted primary school. Analyzing results, documenting, and assessing support needs are central to the role, as is contributing to deeper reflection on instruction—both as part of the school's student support team and alongside school pedagogues. You also work closely with school leadership on matters concerning the broader needs and development work of the school, and you have the ability to shift perspectives between individual, group, and organizational levels.
QUALIFICATIONS
You have experience working with students with IDD and supporting students in adapted primary school settings. You are solution-focused and find ways to communicate with all students.
For this position, you must:
• hold a special education degree
• have experience mentoring pedagogical staff at both group and individual levels
• have experience with documentation work, pedagogical assessments, and support plans
• have the ability to build good and sustainable relationships with students, staff, and guardians
• have strong knowledge of differentiated instruction and accessible learning environments
• have strong knowledge of and experience working with students facing various learning vulnerabilities
• be willing and able to take responsibility for both your own work and school-wide development efforts
Salary form: Monthly salary.
