Adapted Elementary School in Ryd Seeks Student Assistant, Permanent Position

In this role, you will be part of the Children and Education Sector. For us, the development of children and young people is in focus. WORK DUTIES As a student assistant at our adapted elementary school, you will actively participate in activities during school hours and in after-school care. You will meet and work with our students who have various functional variations combined with intellectual disabilities. We see teamwork as an integral part of our operations. Therefore, you are expected to collaborate with teachers and other student assistants to ensure that students receive quality instruction and a good school experience. The work aims to help students achieve as much as possible based on their own conditions. It is important that you are flexible and solution-oriented. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has: • education or equivalent experience as a nursing assistant, childcare worker, or student assistant. • knowledge of alternative communication, such as AKK and TAKK. • experience working with individuals with neuropsychiatric functional variations. • good ability to express yourself in Swedish both verbally and in writing. It is a merit if you have experience working in adapted schools or with children who have functional variations. Employment Type: Permanent position. Duration: Permanent, start date: August 31, 2026, or by agreement. To work in preschool, school, after-school care, and other educational activities, you must provide a certificate from the crime register. The certificate is valid for one year and is ordered from the Swedish Police Authority www.polisen.se. Anyone who does not provide a certificate from the crime register cannot be employed, engaged, or admitted to the activity according to applicable legal requirements.
