Dala Vatten och Avfall manages the operation, development, coordination, administration and planning of water, wastewater and waste activities in Gagnef, Leksand, Rättvik and Vansbro. The main office is located in Leksand. Much of the work we do is neither seen nor heard, but it would immediately be noticed if it stopped. About Us The water and wastewater operations are responsible for a socially critical service with the production and distribution of drinking water as well as the handling of wastewater. With 300 miles of water and wastewater pipelines in the ground and an important role in ensuring safe and sustainable water and wastewater management, we now need to strengthen our team to contribute to our development. Responsibilities As an Installation Worker / Water and Wastewater Technician, you will, together with your work team, be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the water and wastewater pipeline network. The tasks are varied and include both emergency and preventive maintenance as well as some new installations and renewal of the pipeline network. Your tasks may include: - Leak detection and repairs - Water meter replacement - Flushing and cleaning of pipelines - Inspection and documentation of network status - Participation in emergency response work The work is performed mostly outdoors, often in busy environments, which requires you to take responsibility for your own and your colleagues' safety and always use the correct protective equipment. Education and Experience We are looking for someone with several years of professional experience or vocational training in a relevant field, such as construction and installation or similar. Experience from water and wastewater or plumbing is particularly valuable. In addition to this, we see that you have: - Good computer skills to use our operational systems - Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written - B-class driver's license (required) Personal Qualities To thrive in this role, you need to be flexible, have strong commitment and a desire to contribute to safe and secure water and wastewater management.
