The Role As a family support consultant, you will support people over 18 years old who care for or support a relative with chronic illness, disability, substance abuse or addiction issues, or other life situations that affect daily life. The work is divided into approximately 80% operational and 20% strategic development work, and the position is placed within the care and social services administration in the Open Care, Support and Treatment unit. You will, among other things: Work closely with addiction teams and family teams as well as other parts of social services, municipal health care and student health services Offer and conduct individual support conversations, provide advice and guidance regarding community support services Initiate and lead family support groups and health-promoting activities, identify children and young family members and guide them to the right resources Participate in operational visits and hold presentations for schools, congregations and other relevant forums Develop, expand and ensure quality of the municipality's family support services and strengthen the family perspective in operations Conduct regular meetings with family advocates and participate in regional networks for family support Monitor developments and stay updated in your field of expertise Be responsible for information materials Who We Are The Open Care, Support and Treatment unit consists of committed employees who work with support, counseling and treatment. We are looking for someone who: Has higher education in a relevant field, such as social work, behavioral science or equivalent education Has experience working with people, particularly within social work is a merit Are social, outgoing, empathetic and confident in your profession Have good communication and pedagogical skills to adapt messages to different individuals' needs Are experienced at building new professional contacts and maintaining existing ones Enjoy both direct work with people and strategic development work Can work independently, in a structured manner and with goal orientation Are flexible regarding working hours, as evenings and weekends may occur Communicate fluently in Swedish both spoken and written Hold a category B driver's license Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
