JOB DUTIES As a Family Support Consultant, you work to support people who care for or support a loved one who is chronically physically or mentally ill, has a functional disability, or is elderly. It is meaningful work that is of great importance to families. The assignment includes individual support to family members, group activities, information, coordination, and development of family support according to the Social Services Act. The work is creative, independent, and flexible—to meet the varying needs of this large group of family members. Your strong verbal communication enables you to convey messages clearly and attentively, which is key in your relationship-building work. The assignment also includes strategic development work for family support, and you will collaborate with other actors within the municipality, schools, Region Uppsala, and civil society. In the strategic work, there are trainings and lectures for family members, the general public, and staff. You will be offered professional supervision tailored for you as a Family Support Consultant once a month, and you have collegial support from your fellow Family Support Consultant and other Family Support Consultants in Uppsala County. Family Support is a unit in transition, which means you need to be comfortable working independently and adapting to new circumstances. You are genuinely development-oriented and strive to improve both yourself and the operations, while maintaining quality awareness in everything you do to ensure the best possible results. You will: • Work preventively and health-promotively to reduce the psychological and physical burden on family members. • Provide individual family support through advice, guidance, and support conversations. • Inform about society's support services and guide people to the right activities. • Develop, plan, implement, and develop family groups and educational initiatives for family members, the general public, and staff. • Collaborate with external and internal actors. • Participate in communication and marketing work. • Participate in information initiatives, fairs, and lectures and work actively with content for "Family Week"/"Feel Good Week in Enköping". • Participate in the Development Group for Family Support in Enköping. Work in evenings and weekends may occur exceptionally. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS We are looking for you who have: • A degree in social work or other education that the employer deems equivalent. • Driver's license category B. • Previous experience in social work. To succeed in the assignment, you need to: • Be social, outgoing, empathetic, and confident in your profession. • Have good communication skills and be able to communicate fluently in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. • Be able to work independently, structured, and goal-oriented. • Be experienced at building new professional contacts and maintaining existing ones. • Enjoy both direct work with people and strategic development work. • Be comfortable giving presentations to the general public and facilitating group meetings for family members. MERITORIOUS • Experience working with family support. • Experience working with support conversations. • Experience working with MI, low-affect interaction, and crisis methodology. • Experience working with complex life situations. • Experience with various diagnoses and knowledge of legislation (SoL, LSS, public access and confidentiality). • Previous experience with group leadership or development projects is also meritoriously valued.
