The Anesthesia and Operating Department in Hässleholm works primarily with elective orthopedic operations on the entire musculoskeletal system. Joint replacements in the knee, hip, and shoulder are among our specialties, but we also perform other procedures such as spine surgery, sports injuries, hand and foot surgery, and dental treatment under anesthesia. As an anesthesia nurse, you'll work with perioperative care and standard tasks for an anesthesia nurse in the operating department. We work in teams with various professionals and have a high patient flow. Since our business area is a university healthcare unit and Center of Excellence, anesthesia nurses with an interest in research are offered the opportunity to join our research and development team. We're also part of the hospital's emergency response chain where we assess and treat acutely ill patients. We work very independently here, says Linda, anesthesia nurse. The department has an education nurse who contributes to creating a favorable learning environment by strengthening and supporting you in your professional role. The education nurse works to meet your competency development through good mentoring and an individually tailored introduction based on your previous experience and competencies. Operating activities are conducted daytime Monday to Friday, and an anesthesia nurse is on duty around the clock to assist with acute situations at the hospital. QUALIFICATIONS We're looking for you who are a licensed nurse with authorization to practice in Swedish healthcare and have specialist training in anesthesia care. Swedish language skills at least equivalent to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are required. We consider previous experience in anesthesia care to be a merit.
