At the Intensive and Perioperative Care Business Area (VO IPV Lund) at Skåne University Hospital in Lund, highly specialized anesthesia and surgical care is provided within surgery, ear, nose and throat (ENT), orthopedics, oral surgery, neurosurgery, oncology, ophthalmology, and women's health. In recent years, IPV Lund has undergone a major organizational change where we have become our own business area and adopted a flatter organization that means shortened decision-making paths and increased proximity to employees. We are now looking for someone who wants to work with anesthesia in highly specialized operations, has a drive to develop the business together with colleagues and managers, and values teamwork highly. You will work with typical duties of an anesthesia nurse in an operating department with a base assignment in one of our units. We are a 24-hour operation with three shifts, and after completing your introduction, you will participate in on-call work, where you anesthetize patients across all units and assist with emergency calls throughout the hospital. We often work with seriously ill patients and complicated diagnoses that make the work challenging and developmental. We have incredible expertise here and you really get to use your knowledge. Together we solve practically everything. There is a very good team spirit among us who work around the patients. An assistant nurse continues - We have good cohesion between all professional categories, assistant nurses, nurses, doctors, and cleaning staff. I learn something new every day. That makes it fun to come to work. As a new employee, you will undergo an individual introduction plan tailored to your needs and previous experience, with placements in all operating units. At each unit, you will receive supervision from anesthesia nurses with high competence and broad experience. In addition to this, you will also be offered a mentor. We work according to quota agreements, which means reduced working hours when you work on-call. We use Multi Access, which is an operationally adapted scheduling system where you have the opportunity to influence your working hours. QUALIFICATIONS We welcome you if you are a licensed nurse with authorization to practice in Swedish healthcare and are a specialist-trained anesthesia nurse. If you have work experience as an anesthesia nurse, this is a merit. Swedish language proficiency at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale is a requirement for the position.
