The Heart Center in Umeå aims to provide the best care for cardiac patients in northern Sweden. We offer highly specialized cardiac care and have overall responsibility for the region's patients. The Heart Center includes the Cardiovascular Outpatient Clinic, Thoracic Surgery, Cardiology, PCI Lab, Arrhythmia Unit, and Clinical Physiology and Center for Cardiovascular Genetics. We investigate, treat, and operate on patients from across the northern region with diseases of the heart, lungs, and coronary arteries. Through our cross-boundary collaboration, efficient care pathways, commitment to continuous improvement, and competent staff, we can provide care of very high quality. In close cooperation with the university, we conduct research, development, and education. We have approximately 400 employees at the Heart Center. In Thoracic Surgery, we have approximately 35 employees, including anesthesia nurses, operating room nurses, nursing assistants, and perfusionists. Annually, we perform over 1,100 procedures across our four operating rooms. Our specialty treats patients with diseases such as heart valve disease, coronary artery disease, and lung disease. We are also the only thoracic surgical center in Norrland offering circulatory support for heart and/or lung failure in the form of ECMO treatment, and we have also established a highly qualified transport service for these patients. We are now seeking an anesthesia nurse who wants to work with us in Thoracic Surgery. 1 position(s). DUTIES As an anesthesia nurse with us, you contribute with knowledge and commitment that make people feel secure. Working as an anesthesia nurse with us means you work in a team in the operating room with the patient in focus. Together with the operating room nurse, you will be responsible for the perioperative care of the patient. Our work is characterized by mutual respect where all professions collaborate to provide the patient with the best possible treatment and care. As an anesthesia nurse with us, you will also work in the Heart Center's Arrhythmia Unit. Arrhythmology procedures are performed here, with anesthetic support, in two rooms. You will collaborate with biomedical analysts, nurses, nursing assistants, arrhythmologists, and thoracic anesthesiologists. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking a registered nurse with specialist training in anesthesia. To thrive in the role of anesthesia nurse with us, we are looking for someone who has the ability to work both independently and in collaboration with other professional groups.
