The Border Police Unit is a regional unit in the Stockholm region that works with border controls, internal alien controls, enforcement of deportation and expulsion decisions, surveillance and investigation of human trafficking, violations of the Aliens Act, and transnational organized crime within Stockholm County and Gotland. The Border Police Unit holds regional responsibility for international contacts regarding border police matters, intelligence, and wanted person alerts. The Border Police Unit Office functions as the hub of the unit. The assignment includes planning, coordination, administration, business monitoring, and coordination of current matters. The office also works closely with unit management to plan and coordinate its work. Job Description As an analyst, you will be part of a work group where you and your colleagues systematically and structured gather data and information to compile decision-making documents and present them to the management group and operational activities. Some of your tasks are: Identify trends and patterns related to travel to and from the Stockholm region, develop situational pictures, risk analyses, and environmental monitoring. Contribute to developing and distributing support to the operational activities at the Border Police Unit. Represent the Border Police Unit in various forums concerning the operational area, both internally and externally. Close collaboration with unit management. Vulnerability analyses, systematically and structured gathering of data and information, and presenting the analysis. Qualifications This is an opportunity for you if you have: An academic education that the employer deems relevant or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way that the employer deems comparable. At least 1 year of professional experience with analytical tasks such as collecting and compiling data and information that the employer deems relevant. Good experience and proficiency in working with Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel. Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Swedish citizenship. It is a merit if you also have: Professional experience with risk and vulnerability analyses within law enforcement that the employer deems relevant. Experience creating and presenting situational pictures to management groups. Experience with environmental monitoring related to security and migration issues.
