Healthcare is Region Sörmland's largest operational area. Our mission is to provide good, safe, and equitable care for the residents of the region – today and in the future. Operations are organized into five divisions: Medicine, Surgery, Medical Services, Primary Care, and Psychiatry and Functional Disabilities. We operate throughout the region, with facilities including three acute care hospitals and 18 health centers. Each division is led by a division manager who reports to the healthcare director.
Region Sörmland has implemented a new healthcare information system, Cosmic, and is working to make data and reports available based on healthcare needs. Working to understand the connection between workflows in various healthcare information systems, including Cosmic, and data requires collaboration from different parts of the organization and involves many different roles.
Your Responsibilities
As an operations-focused analyst for production and capacity management (PKS), you will work at the intersection of systems, data, and operations. You will have both a strategic and operational role with a focus on making data and analysis available and providing operations-focused support in PKS.
You will:
• Develop the PKS process in healthcare.
• Work with colleagues to ensure knowledge of how healthcare data should be interpreted and used.
• Provide operations-focused support to managers in healthcare data and PKS work.
• Create understanding for how workflows and systems affect healthcare data and which healthcare data creates value.
• Develop guidance materials and communicate results in a clear and structured manner, including through visualization tools such as Power BI.
Other assignments and tasks may be included in the position.
Your Qualifications
You are analytical and able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. You have basic knowledge of healthcare workflows and systems that generate data. As a person, you are independent, take initiative, are solution-oriented, and are experienced in collaborating with different operations and roles. You always strive to understand how you, in your supporting role for healthcare, can create value for the patient!
You report to the Healthcare Production Manager and work closely with healthcare managers and operations, staff functions, and various roles in care systems and data output departments.
Requirements:
• Relevant academic education (for example, civil engineer, economist, logistician, or similar)
• Experience working in the healthcare sector
• Strong knowledge of production and capacity management
• Experience with analysis, monitoring, and development work
• Excellent Swedish skills, verbal and written
• Experience working with visualization tools, such as Power BI
Desirable:
• Experience with the healthcare information system Cosmic
