Waldorfskolan in Karlshamn is an independent primary school, grades f–9. The school is operated by Daggkåpans ekonomiska förening, which also oversees the waldorf preschool Daggkåpan. Currently, there are approximately 130 students in grades f–9. At Waldorfskolan in Karlshamn, children are in an environment that, together with our pedagogy, forms the foundation of our holistic approach to learning. Waldorf pedagogy aims to engage all aspects of the child, which is why theoretical, practical, and artistic learning are integrated. Like all waldorf schools, we have a clear aesthetic focus with substantial space for music, drama, art, and writing. What additionally sets us apart is our nature and outdoor focus. Students have one nature and outdoor day per week, with at least half the day spent on outdoor lessons. Additionally, we arrange several excursions and trips with a nature and outdoor focus each year, including a botany excursion for grade 5, a geology excursion for grade 6, and a two-week mountain trip for grade 8. For the 2026/27 school year, we are now seeking a Spanish subject teacher for grades 1–9.
