What we're looking for We're seeking someone with nursing assistant training and a B-category driver's license for at least three years. The position requires a passed physical fitness test and passed driving test. It's a merit to have paramedic training, experience from prehospital work or emergency care, and experience with the Mobimed medical record system. Knowledge of Meänkieli, Finnish, and/or Sámi is also considered a merit. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. To thrive and succeed in this role, you need to be a mature person with good ability to make well-founded decisions even in situations that demand high levels of judgment and responsibility. You work independently, take initiative, and have the ability to prioritize and act based on operational and patient needs. The role involves many encounters with patients, relatives, and cooperation partners, which requires good empathetic ability and professional conduct. You are communicative, attentive, and have an easy way of building trusting relationships. What you'll be working with In ambulance services, you'll work in a unique societal function operating around the clock with prehospital emergency care, where staff meet patients of all ages who have suffered acute illness or injury in their homes, in outdoor environments, or at accident or disaster scenes. Together with a licensed nurse, you form the ambulance crew that often arrives first on scene, and that's where your competence comes into play. Together with the nurse, you make the initial important assessment and provide the most acute care. The nurse has medical responsibility and decides on care and medical interventions based on care needs and directs patients to the appropriate level of care, but the work is truly teamwork. The positions are full-time with work scheduled around the clock. Selection and interviews are ongoing, and positions may be filled before the application deadline.
