We are seeking approximately 30 student ambassadors for a temporary position within Line 14 at the Department of Communication and Collaboration Support. About Us The Unit for Student Recruitment and Marketing is part of the Department of Communication and Collaboration Support. The unit is responsible for student recruitment, inclusive recruitment, graphic design, and web services. Line 14 is a collaboration between Örebro University and Örebro Municipality, which started in Vivalla in 2003. The goal of the collaboration was to help students from educationally disadvantaged backgrounds succeed in their studies and progress to higher education. Since then, the program has grown, and Line 14 is currently active at seven secondary schools, one intermediate school, and two youth centers within Örebro Municipality. Work Tasks As a student ambassador within Line 14, you are part of a large team of other students. You work with relationship-building activities for students in compulsory school, with the aim of raising awareness about the university and increasing study motivation. Your duties include leading study support sessions on a weekly basis at secondary schools and youth centers throughout Örebro. This involves providing students with help and guidance with their studies and serving as a role model. Study support sessions are held in the afternoons, starting at 2:30 PM. During certain periods of the term, you will also have the opportunity to lead daytime workshops at schools, receive study visits on campus, and conduct campus tours, where you share your experiences from studies, student life, and your path to Örebro University. Qualifications To be suitable for the position of student ambassador within Line 14, you must be admitted to a degree program at the basic or advanced level. We expect you to have excellent social skills in meeting children and young people in a trustworthy manner and strong collaboration abilities. Great emphasis is placed on your personal qualities, such as the ability to inspire others and share experiences to motivate students in their studies. Previous experience with similar work tasks is a merit. We strive for diversity among our student ambassadors in terms of gender, age, life experience, and fields of study. Information The employment rate varies between 7–12% of full-time during the period September 7 through December 4, 2026. Salary is paid according to local collective agreement. Student ambassadors may be employed for a maximum of one year at a time. The total employment period for a student ambassador may not exceed three years. Working hours are set according to a fixed schedule where you are expected to work as follows: 7% (approximately 12 hours/month). This corresponds to one fixed study support session per week, plus 3 additional study support sessions throughout the entire employment period. 9% (approximately 16 hours/month). This corresponds to one fixed study support session every other week and two fixed study support sessions every other week, plus 3 additional study support sessions throughout the entire employment period. 12% (approximately 20 hours/month). This corresponds to two fixed study support sessions per week, plus 3 additional study support sessions throughout the entire employment period. To work in school activities, you must provide a criminal record certificate before your employment begins. It is a requirement to complete an orientation.
