About the job
We are seeking up to 10 teaching assistants (amanuenses), who on an as-needed basis and by agreement, will assist course instructors in their teaching activities. Teaching assignments may include classroom instruction, supervision in computer labs or laboratory exercises, and other tasks, including grading of reports, quizzes, etc.
About you
To be employed as a teaching assistant, you must be admitted to higher education at the bachelor's or advanced level.
It is a requirement for the assignment that you have completed relevant courses offered by the Division for Mechanical Heat Theory and Fluid Mechanics at LiU (or equivalent at other institutions). The tasks are varying and may arise with short notice, which requires flexibility and that you are available at the university during autumn 2026.
It is meritorious for this position if you can demonstrate documented strong subject knowledge in the relevant courses, and if you have previous teaching experience. You should be responsible, thorough, have pedagogical skills, and be interested in the subject area. It is also advantageous if you are available for teaching assignments during spring 2026.
Your workplace
You will work at the Division for Mechanical Heat Theory and Fluid Mechanics (MVS), which is affiliated with the Department of Economic and Industrial Development (IEI) and the Faculty of Science and Engineering (LiTH). The division offers a wide range of courses at both basic and advanced levels across several programs at Linköping University (LiU).

Salary according to LiU's central agreement on teaching assistant pay. The position is hourly paid.
