Sydnärkes Utbildningsförbund is a municipal federation located in Hallsberg, with Askersund, Hallsberg, and Laxå as member municipalities. On behalf of the member municipalities, we lead and are responsible for upper secondary education, adult education, and commissioned training. We offer 12 national upper secondary programs, introductory programs, and adapted upper secondary school. We have a total of approximately 1,800 students, of which 1,300 attend Alléskolan and 500 attend Allévux. Are you a qualified vocational teacher in construction and ground work with expertise as a ground worker, or do you currently work in the construction sector as a ground worker and feel that you want to advance in your professional career? Do you want to be part of developing education at a successful upper secondary school? Then you could be our new colleague! Job Duties We are looking for someone to complement our team in the construction program with your knowledge and expertise as a ground worker. You will be part of a team with other teachers who jointly plan, design, and conduct instruction. The position involves teaching students in various practical and theoretical heavy equipment operator, ground, and construction courses together with another teacher. This with a focus on students studying the heavy equipment operator specialization and ground and construction work. A success factor for successful teaching with our students is that you enjoy working with students in different learning situations. Education takes place partly at Alléskolan but primarily at our facility in Åsbro, where we have excellent conditions for heavy equipment operator and ground worker training in a relevant environment. We have just completed new facilities with a classroom, office, and changing rooms for students and staff directly adjacent to the practice area. The assignment also includes serving as a mentor together with a colleague for a group of students to guide and support them through their education and into their upcoming professional lives. Parts of the students' education are conducted at companies. You will be responsible for visits and follow-up of students' time at the companies, so maintaining and developing good relationships with the industry is therefore important in your role. As a teacher at Alléskolan, you have a position with school holidays, which means an average annual working time of 45.5 hours per week, of which 35 hours are workplace-based time and 10.5 hours are discretionary time. The work period runs from mid-August to mid-June, and as a teacher you have time off during Christmas, winter sports, Easter, and summer holidays. Qualifications: Vocational teacher degree/teaching license in construction and ground work with a specialization in ground and construction work, and specifically as a ground worker. Alternatively, extensive and current professional experience from the construction sector as a ground worker. Good computer skills Class B driver's license and relevant professional certification within the industry Personal Qualities: You can work both independently and together with others You have good communication and pedagogical skills You plan and organize your work in an efficient manner You are organized, flexible, and have a positive and professional approach in interactions with others Meritorious: Previous experience with educational work Experience with service and maintenance of construction machinery Experience with ground work on roads and railways We place great emphasis on personal suitability and current professional experience as a ground worker.
