Activity Leader at Camp Farm Stora Färgen

We are now seeking an activity leader for our camp farm Stora Färgen. The camp operation arranges camps year-round for children, young people, and adults with various disabilities, as well as for young people in social vulnerability. During fall and spring we run weekend camps, and during summer we run week-long camps. We are approximately 30 permanent employees who, together with around 150 camp leaders, create safe and developmental experiences for our participants. Work is conducted in teams, and at Stora Färgen you collaborate with a unit manager, support educators, another activity leader, cooks, and maintenance staff. As an activity leader, you are responsible for planning, preparing, and implementing activities before, during, and after camps. Each weekend approximately 20-30 participants attend, and the operation is adapted to their individual needs. The work is creative and many activities are built around art, movement, and sensory experiences. Interest in, for example, visual arts, music, dance, drama, or crafts is a merit. You work with low-affect interaction, support camp leaders, and contribute to structure and quality in the operation. The role also includes responsibility for the camp farm's environment and simple practical maintenance. The position is scheduled with work two weekends per month (Friday–Sunday), weekday work three to four days per week, and responsibility for two week-long camps during summer. Qualifications We are looking for you with leisure leader training or other post-secondary education that the employer deems relevant to the assignment. For this position, it is a merit if you have experience working with people who have disabilities and experience working with low-affect interaction. We would like to see that you have previously worked with children and young people. To work for us, you need to have a category B driver's license. We are looking for someone who is enterprising, resourceful, and practical, and who enjoys varied work tasks. As a person, you have the ability to build trust and good relationships, both within the team you are part of and with camp leaders and participants in the direct work on the farm. You are an attentive person with empathetic ability where collaboration and cooperation are a given in driving the operation forward. You feel comfortable leading and instructing activities as well as planning for group and individual activities. You set clear goals and plan activities and projects well in advance. You ensure that work is completed and follow up on results. You contribute with new ideas and perspectives on work-related matters and in situations that need to be solved. You are curious and have the ability to see more than one possible solution. You need to be quick and efficient, able to adapt to new circumstances, and be a self-starter.
