Do you want to make a difference for young people?
We are looking for an engaged and relationship-building activity coordinator for the municipality's activity responsibility program (KAA). In this role, you work to motivate and support young people who are neither studying nor working, so that they can find paths forward toward education, employment, or other meaningful occupation.
Job Description
As an activity coordinator, you are responsible for identifying, contacting, and following up with young people in the target group for the municipality's activity responsibility program. The target group for municipalities' activity responsibility programs (KAA) includes young people registered in the municipality, aged 16–19, who are neither working nor studying.
You build trusting relationships and collaborate with both internal and external actors to create individual solutions based on each young person's needs. With us, the KAA service is located at the Labor Market Unit within the Employment and Provision unit, which also includes financial assistance, a work training center, and daily activities.
Your Work Tasks
In your role as activity coordinator, you will, among other things:
- Identify, contact, and follow up with young people within KAA.
- Conduct motivational conversations and establish individual action plans.
- Support young people in the transition to studies, work, or other interventions.
- Collaborate with schools, social services, labor market unit, the Employment Agency, and other relevant actors.
- Document and follow up on interventions in accordance with applicable legislation and the municipality's procedures.
- Participate in the development of the municipality's work with KAA.
The work also includes preventive work, participation in various collaboration forums, other relevant work tasks related to a labor market unit, and summer internship responsibility.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have:
- a university degree in, for example, behavioral science, social work, pedagogy, or other education/experience that the employer considers equivalent.
- good computer skills.
- good knowledge of Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
- a B-class driving license (manual transmission).
Meritorious
It is meritorious if you have:
- experience working in municipal activity responsibility (KAA)
- knowledge of the Education Act and other relevant regulations
- experience collaborating between different authorities and operations
- labor market knowledge
- training in motivational interviewing (MI) or other relevant conversation methodology
Who Are You?
We are looking for you who have knowledge of motivation work and conversation methodology and have an easy time creating trusting and long-term relationships. You have good collaboration skills and enjoy working with both colleagues and external collaboration partners. As a person, you are organized, independent, and solution-oriented, with the ability to plan and prioritize your work. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability.
