DUTIES We are seeking an activation pedagogue at Åbybergsskolan 1-9, with experience working with students who have intellectual disabilities (ID) and neuropsychiatric variations, as well as strong knowledge of alternative and augmentative communication (AAC). As a pedagogue, you will have the opportunity to work together with your team to plan and conduct teaching where collaboration, joy and professionalism characterize daily work – qualities that we believe you also contribute. You work closely with students daily and provide support throughout their school day. Together we create a learning environment that promotes positive communication. We use AAC daily, including sign language as support, to strengthen students' communication skills and their opportunities for positive academic and social development. The school has access to a student wellness team that offers support and guidance from a special education teacher, specialist teacher, school counselor, speech-language pathologist and school psychologist. Together we work to give each student the best possible conditions to succeed. QUALIFICATIONS Diploma from a vocational training program (YH) 300 credits Experience working with children with disabilities and neuropsychiatric variations Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) Meritorious It is meritorious if you have experience working with children with intellectual disabilities (ID) and neuropsychiatric variations, as well as knowledge of alternative and augmentative communication (AAC).
