Your Responsibilities The Public Prosecution Authority is looking for someone who wants to play a central role in crime prevention. As a prosecutor, you will apply law in both theory and practice with considerable independence and in collaboration with others. As a prosecutor trainee, you will work with all aspects of criminal cases at a general prosecutor's office. You will lead preliminary investigations, make decisions on prosecution, and conduct proceedings in court. Your Qualities and Qualifications We are looking for someone who is a Swedish citizen with a Nordic law degree. Upon taking office as a prosecutor trainee, you must also be a notary qualified from district or administrative court. As a person, we want you to have a strong interest in criminal and procedural law be legally skilled have the ability to collaborate and lead others be driven, able to organize and prioritize your work, and make independent decisions be stable and have good judgment have good analytical skills and critical thinking abilities have good communication skills. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. It is advantageous if, in addition to your notary qualification, you have experience with relevant qualified legal work. The Selection Process During your time as a prosecutor trainee, you will have a fixed-term contract of 9-12 months. This is followed by a permanent position. Before a job offer is extended, the Public Prosecution Authority may conduct a background check in the suspicion register and criminal record register. The background check will be conducted on the final candidate. Tests may be included in the recruitment process. The Public Prosecution Authority is a civil preparedness agency.
