Your responsibilities The Prosecution Authority is looking for you to play a central role in crime prevention. As a prosecutor, you will use the law in theory and practice with great personal responsibility and in collaboration with others. As a prosecutor trainee, you will work with all aspects of criminal cases at a general prosecution chamber. You will lead preliminary investigations, make decisions on prosecution matters, and conduct proceedings in court. Your qualities and qualifications We are looking for you who is a Swedish citizen with a Nordic law degree. Upon joining as a prosecutor trainee, you must also be a notary-qualified professional from a district or administrative court. As a person, we would like you to have a strong interest in criminal and procedural law be legally skilled have the ability to collaborate and lead others be driven, able to organize and prioritize your work, and make independent decisions be stable and have sound judgment have good analytical abilities and critical thinking skills have good communication skills. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. It is an advantage if, in addition to your notary qualification, you have experience with relevant qualified legal work. Selection process During your time as a prosecutor trainee, you will have a fixed-term employment of 9–12 months. After that, a permanent employment follows. Before an employment offer, the Prosecution Authority may conduct a register check in the suspicion register and the criminal record register. The register check is conducted on the final candidate. Tests may be included in the recruitment process. The Prosecution Authority is a civil protection agency. Upon employment, you may be subject to wartime placement at the Prosecution Authority.
