Your future responsibilities As a business lawyer at EKN, you participate in Swedish companies' export transactions and work closely with our customer-responsible underwriters. The tasks are varied and include issues requiring business and financial legal expertise. A central part of your work is helping Swedish export companies manage situations where foreign buyers fail to meet their payment obligations. You work on negotiating and handling loss prevention and recovery measures, either together with the export company or through legal representatives in the buyer's country. You also work with contract interpretation and preparation of materials for decisions in EKN's credit committees. Part of the role also involves assessing new contract risks, structures, and financial solutions. The role involves many contact points and you will meet and collaborate with, among others, export companies, banks, buyers, and legal representatives, both in Sweden and internationally. The work is conducted in close collaboration with other lawyers, customer-responsible underwriters, and other expertise within EKN. You work in an international environment and come into contact with different markets and legal systems. The work gives you the opportunity to develop your expertise in both business law and export financing and the Swedish export credit system. The role may involve travel, primarily abroad but also within Sweden. Your education and experience We are looking for someone with a Swedish law degree or a business law bachelor's degree. It is advantageous if you have relevant legal professional experience, for example from a bank, exporting company, law firm, insurance company, finance company, or other activity that we consider equivalent. We also view positively international experience or experience in, for example, business law, export financing, negotiation, dispute resolution, insolvency law, and/or recovery work. Knowledge of business economics and/or financing is an advantage. You have excellent skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Other information This is a fixed-term position for 12 months with placement at our office in Stockholm. Business travel within Sweden and abroad occurs. We base our recruitment on competence.
