Work Duties
Working in the swimming section means you work to increase swimming proficiency among Malmö's children, youth, and adults. You and your colleagues work together to increase swimming proficiency in the city and through this reduce exclusion and help children graduate with passing grades in the subject Physical Education and Health.
As an administrator, your duties include providing customer service to our customers via phone and email, planning course structures for swimming schools and other course activities, and monitoring the surrounding environment. You will also share responsibility with a colleague in administering school swimming instruction in the city. You work largely independently and have significant responsibility for planning your time, but you also work together with swimming instructors and support them in their daily work.
When needed, you will also lead school swimming and swimming school classes as well as teach courses in CPR, first aid, and lifesaving. The role will develop along with the operations, and work duties may vary according to need.
Your workplace may vary based on operational needs, but your main workplace is Hylliebadet. Working hours are daytime and you will have a flexible working agreement. Evening work may occur during certain periods.
Qualifications
You have a high school diploma and are a proficient swimmer. You have work experience in swimming school operations. If you have swimming instructor training, CPR training, first aid and/or lifesaving training, this is an advantage.
You have at least a couple of years of work experience in customer service. If you have previously held a coordination responsibility in an operation, we view this as a plus.
You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both written and oral. You have good computer skills and are proficient in Microsoft Office.
As a person, we believe you are communicative, solution-focused, and self-driven. You can also structure your work so that you can prioritize the right tasks. Your ability to be a good listener and understand your colleagues' and our customers' needs is a quality we highly value.
About the Workplace
The Department of Leisure Activities' bath and recreation unit operates its own activities at Hylliebadet, Oxievångsbadet, Rosengårdsbadet, Simhallsbadet, Lindängsbadet, Öresund's Funkis – the bath without obstacles, Hyllie Sports Center, Torups outdoor recreation area, and Bulltofta fitness center. Rosengårdsbadet also has an outdoor pool open to Malmö residents during the summer. The ambition is that the baths together should offer Malmö residents a meaningful experience. Among the employees working at the baths, the desire and drive is to create, develop, and realize an operation where the Malmö resident is in focus.

For all employees in the Department of Leisure Activities' swimming section, swimming proficiency is a requirement. In connection with the interview, a swimming test will therefore be conducted.
