About the Swedish Prison and Probation Service The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now seeking more employees. The office is located centrally in Skövde and currently has approximately 60 employees and 3 correctional officers. The catchment area includes the municipalities of Essunga, Falköping, Grästorp, Gullspång, Götene, Hjo, Karlsborg, Lidköping, Mariestad, Skara, Skövde, Töreboda, Tibro, Tidaholm, and Vara. Job Description Community Corrections Skövde is now seeking an administrator. Administration is a service function at the community corrections office where you will be part of a team responsible for assisting the community corrections officers with administrative work related to client matters through registration and processing of client documents such as investigation reports, decisions, court sentences, and more. Administration is responsible for archives, records, mail handling, ordering, certain financial administration, and management of the authority's incoming email. The job tasks involve external contacts, where you represent the Swedish Prison and Probation Service in relation to partners and the public. Part of the work involves staffing the community corrections reception desk, where you are the face of the organization and must ensure that all visitors to the community corrections premises are treated professionally and equally. The job tasks also include other common administrative duties. The tasks require that you have knowledge of the principle of public access while ensuring that confidentiality protection is maintained. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is confident, stable, and has a flexible work approach. Work as an administrator is a service function and requires that you have the ability to work both independently and in close cooperation with other employees at community corrections and with other actors both within and outside the authority. As a person, you are quality-conscious and have good ability to prioritize among your tasks and are accustomed to sometimes working at a fast pace. Case handling in this work is part of the legal process, therefore it is required that you are thorough and well-organized. You are also aware of and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect you and others. We are looking for someone who has: Experience working with administration in public sector operations. Complete upper secondary education with final grades/diploma. Good ability to express yourself in Swedish both verbally and in writing. Good computer skills including strong proficiency in the Office package. It is also meritorious to have: Post-secondary education in public administration, public access and confidentiality, law, or other post-secondary education that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant for the position. Experience working within the core operations of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service. Experience handling matters related to court proceedings. Experience with records management, archives, handling of confidential documents, and managing authority email. Experience working in the systems Platina, KVR, and Proceedo.
