About the Swedish Prison and Probation Service The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now seeking more staff members. We are the authority responsible for correctional institutions, probation services, remand prisons, and client transport. Frivården South Norrland covers Dalarna, Gävleborg, and Jämtland counties and has staffed offices in Östersund, Hudiksvall, Gävle, and Falun. Frivården conducts personal investigations and supervises clients who are conditionally released, under protective supervision, or sentenced to community service or monitored with electronic monitoring/intensive supervision. Frivården also works with various treatment programs. Within Frivården South Norrland, approximately 130 employees and nine managers work to reduce clients' recidivism and thereby increase safety in society. Frivården Gävle is located in central Gävle and its catchment area includes the municipalities of Gävle, Hofors, Ockelbo, and Sandviken. The office is led by two correctional inspectors and is divided into three different teams, a program group, and two administrators. Job Description As an administrator, you are part of a team of two employees with primary responsibility for common administrative tasks. You are responsible for archives, records management, mail handling, ordering, financial administration, and registration in client administrative systems. This may include, for example, registration and processing of decisions and personal investigations as part of the probation service's role in the justice chain. The work also includes staffing the reception desk, which means an important role in preventive security work by managing access to the visitor section of the office. You are responsible for establishing the client's identity, checking the case, and clarifying the client's status before the person is allowed to enter our premises. This is to ensure that we do not allow unknown or intoxicated persons into our facilities. You represent the Swedish Prison and Probation Service with a trustworthy and correct demeanor toward clients, partners, and the public. The work requires that you ensure confidentiality protection while being aware of the principle of public access to information. The position is a temporary contract for 1 year from an agreed start date. Working hours for the position are daytime. Some duties may occur during extended opening hours until 18:00 one day every other week. Qualifications Work as an administrator is a service function, which requires you to be service-oriented.
