JOB DUTIES
In the role of administrator at Central Medical Records Release, we offer you varied and stimulating work with many contacts within and outside Region Gävleborg. You will support operations within Region Gävleborg by retrieving requested medical record information from the various medical record systems. The work includes release of medical records for private individuals, other healthcare providers, insurance companies, and various authorities. You will handle the entire process when requesting medical record release, from receiving the request to confidentiality review and release. The position involves many customer contacts where the customer is in focus.
As an administrator with us, you will work with, among other things
• handling of medical record documents via requisitions
• management of inquiries via email, mail, and 1177 E-service
• review of retention and confidentiality requirements
• participation in improvement and development work
• mail handling.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is thorough, service-oriented and thrives in a role where collaboration and quality are in focus, and who is a natural team player. Since the work involves handling patient medical records, high demands are placed on orderliness and thoroughness. As a person, you are attentive and empathetic and have a flexible approach with a positive attitude to problem-solving. To succeed in the role, we also see that you are independent, have good planning skills, and contribute to good teamwork.
To succeed in the role, the following are required
• education as a medical secretary or other education/competence that the employer deems equivalent
• knowledge in the patient safety field as well as public access and confidentiality legislation
• experience of administrative work
• good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
For this position, it is a merit if you have experience working with medical records release. If you have experience working in Cosmic, Mellior, and/or PMO, that is also a merit. We place high demands on personal qualities and suitability.
