About the Swedish Prison and Probation Service The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now seeking more employees. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation services, detention facilities, and inmate transport. Job Description The Fosie operational area consists of Fosie Prison, located on the outskirts of Malmö and built in 1986. Operations are constantly evolving, and in fall/winter 2026, a detention facility is expected to open. Currently, the facility has 173 beds for male inmates in security class 2, where approximately 300 employees and 10 managers administer, lead, and develop operations. When the detention facility opens, there will be 56 beds for detainees and 101 prison beds for men. Job Responsibilities This position is directed toward you with work experience in the judicial system, preferably with the Swedish Prison and Probation Service. The work involves inmate and operations administration with responsibility for registration, inmate records, mail handling, archiving, record management, and preparation of sentence decisions. The role also includes contact with other authorities and organizations. Since you will be working in inmate-facing environments, a service uniform will be worn at work. Qualifications Requirements: Completed upper secondary education or other education combined with experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant Work experience in administration and/or other relevant experience in the public sector, preferably in the judicial system Strong ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing Good computer skills and IT competence Merits: External or internal training related to the position that can be documented with diploma, grade, or certificate Work experience with the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's administrative systems relevant to the position (Platina, Proceedo, KVR) Work experience with record management and archiving Completion of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's basic training Class B driver's license Other Information The Swedish Prison and Probation Service has chosen to eliminate the personal letter and replaced it with selection questions relevant to the position.
