Academic Meetings & Housing is the section within the Service Unit that works with university conferences and events as well as administration and rental of student and researcher housing. This position is a 30% role at Academic Housing, the part of the operation that handles the rental of temporary student and researcher housing. Academic Housing offers housing, advice, and support for incoming international students and researchers. At Academic Housing, six people currently work with the administrative tasks related to rentals. The work is carried out in close collaboration with colleagues within the Service Unit who handle practical matters related to the housing. Work Duties The work involves development and maintenance of our website and digital systems such as rental systems, marketplace, and housing app. You will work with, among other things: Updating and maintaining the section's website Maintenance and development of rental systems, marketplace, and housing app Contact and requirement specification with system providers Handling of information materials and rental contracts Participating and contributing at section meetings Other administrative or practical tasks may occur. The work takes place in a dynamic environment where the role may develop over time and according to the operation's needs. You will work in close collaboration with colleagues and the role requires good knowledge of the operation. Qualifications To succeed in the role, you need to have: Post-secondary education in an area related to or relevant for the role, or alternatively experience with similar work tasks Experience working with web and digital systems Experience working in digital environments and systems Good ability to express yourself in both speech and writing in both Swedish and English Great emphasis is placed on being able to collaborate and support each other in the group for a creative and good work environment. The following experience is meritorious: Experience with the rental system Din Hyresvärd and DH Marknad Experience with development and maintenance of applications with AI support Experience and/or interest in digitalization and digital solutions It is also meritorious if you have through previous experience knowledge and understanding of Gothenburg University's operations and organization and/or previous work with housing rentals in an academic operation. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. You are creative and solution-oriented and able to prioritize among different work tasks. You can independently plan and organize your work and thrive in an administrative role. The work places great demands on accuracy, initiative, flexibility, and collaboration skills. Employment The employment is a permanent position with a scope of 30%. The position is placed at Academic Meetings & Housing, Service Unit. Start date for the employment is according to agreement but a start as soon as possible is preferred. Office is located in central Gothenburg. Gothenburg University offers the opportunity to work remotely up to 2 days per week provided it is possible based on operational needs.
