Organizationally, it belongs to the university's shared business support (GV) and is located in the same building as the Faculty of Learning and Society. The office currently has approximately 35 employees and one unit manager responsible for 16 staff members. The office provides general administrative support to faculty and institute management, educational support (student administration and educational planning), as well as research and doctoral education support. Content and responsibilities As the permanent administrative manager will be on parental leave, we are now seeking a temporary administrative manager for the period December 1, 2026 – December 31, 2027. The administrative manager is responsible for general administrative support to the faculty as well as coordinating support to the operations from the various departments of GV. The role also includes strategically and operationally supporting the dean and faculty management in implementing the faculty's strategies and goals. You will also be responsible for developing and managing a process-oriented approach with a clear recipient perspective in collaboration with other operations at the university. You are responsible for ensuring that the office's financial resources are allocated efficiently and appropriately in accordance with applicable regulations and within the established budget. As an administrative manager, you have overall responsibility for operations, finances, and personnel – which also means you are responsible for a good work environment – at the office. Qualifications This position specifically requires: Documented experience in administrative management roles, including budget and personnel responsibility. Knowledge of the university and higher education sector, including education and research financing. Experience with strategic development and change management. Computer proficiency and solid experience with administrative systems. Relevant academic degree at the bachelor's level or higher, which the employer deems appropriate for the position. Particularly meriting qualifications for this position: Experience from administrative work within universities and higher education institutions. Experience working in educational activities and/or the education sector.
