At the Department of Special Education at Stockholm University, approximately 90 employees work together. Teaching and research in special education focus on creating favorable conditions for learning and development for all and meeting individuals' diverse needs in the best possible way in educational settings. The Department is responsible for the Special Education Teacher Programs, the Special Education Program, and parts of the teacher education programs at Stockholm University; we also offer master's and doctoral education. We are located in beautiful facilities in Albano and are now seeking an Administrative Director. More information about us is available at: Department of Special Education. Job Responsibilities As Administrative Director at the Department of Special Education, you will report directly to the Head of Department and be part of the Department's management group. You will lead a technical-administrative department consisting of 15 employees. You will be responsible for providing appropriate administrative support to the entire Department, which involves leading and distributing work in economics, personnel administration, educational administration, academic advising, communications, and records and archive management. A course administration supervisor will assist you. Your responsibilities also include leading budget work, monitoring, forecasts, and strategic financial planning. Your work will be highly varied and span a broad range of tasks. Your role will be central to the entire Department's operations. Qualifications As Administrative Director, you should be able to work independently and have excellent leadership and management skills. We are looking for someone who is a confident and positive leader with experience in budget work, financial monitoring, and analysis. You have the ability to work both strategically and operatively within your areas of responsibility. You have excellent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as well as well-developed communication skills. Requirements Several years of experience as a manager of a larger group of employees. Academic degree in economics or other education that the employer deems relevant. Experience in economics and budget work. Experience in personnel administration. Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English. Meritorious Experience from public administration. Particularly meritorious is experience from a university or college. Good knowledge of the systems Raindance and Primula. About the Position The employment is permanent on a full-time basis with a six-month probationary period. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting. Start date by agreement.
