About the Job The Education and Employment Administration comprises upper secondary school operations, adult education, and the municipality's employment services department with a total of approximately 800 employees. As an Administrative Director, you lead the administration office's competent team consisting of about 15 administrative and strategic functions. The office's main mission is to support the operations with administrative processes and operational development. The office has started operations in a new format ahead of summer 2026, where the majority of the work group has been recruited from the operations. Your direct supervisor is the Director of Administration. To succeed in this position with us, you need a genuine interest in administration and operational development. Through collaboration skills and trust, you create conditions for your employees to grow. Additionally, you are curious and creative and see solutions before problems; you need to be adaptable with a flexible approach based on the service the work requires. Work Tasks Personnel and occupational environment responsibility for employees within the administration office. The group is new in its composition and initially it will require frequent follow-ups and focus on positive group development. Manage your unit's budget, follow-up, and financial analysis. Plan, prioritize, and distribute work within the administration office. Provide strategic and operational support to the Director of Administration and management team. Initiate, support, and drive development and change work for both the unit and the administration's other operations. Ensure efficient processes within administration and the administration's core processes. The office is an internal support organization and is responsible for being the administration's cohesive, administrative center. Ensure compliance with laws, guidelines, and governing documents. Assist with environmental monitoring and operational support to the administration's departments. Create good cooperation internally and externally. To succeed in the role as Administrative Director, you have a holistic perspective and a good ability to consider the organization's best interests in your actions and decisions. A large part of the work concerns complex issues that require analysis before action. You are calm, attentive, and accommodating in your approach. You have interest, willingness, and ability to help others and strive to deliver solutions. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities. Qualifications We require the following for this position: Academic education of at least 180 college credits with relevant focus. Several years of experience leading administrative operations in the public sector and in politically governed organizations. Experience and competence in operations management. Familiarity with municipal regulations and public governance. Since our operations often handle legal issues related to the Education Act, Social Services Act, or the Municipal Act/Administrative Act, it is advantageous if you possess legal expertise and experience. Interviews are scheduled to be held Tuesday, August 25. Candidates may be asked to complete tests as a complement to the interview. Employment is conditional upon required decisions being made.
