About the role
As a water and wastewater subscriber engineer at Sundbyberg Avfall and Vatten, you will have a central role in working with new connections and customer matters related to water and wastewater.
You function as an important link between property owners, developers, and internal departments, and are responsible for ensuring correct connections, proper billing, and clear communication regarding water and wastewater matters.
The role is characterized by many contact points and involves managing several parallel cases in different phases – from initial request to completed connection. You also contribute to developing work methods and creating structure in an evolving operation.
Your responsibilities
As a water and wastewater subscriber engineer, you work broadly with both technical and administrative tasks.
Your main responsibilities include:
Inform property owners about connection fees, calculations, and rates.
Manage consultations with property owners regarding connection point placement. Follow-up and documentation in case management systems (Lime).
Participate in customer, municipal coordination, construction, and pulse meetings.
Quality assure and review materials for distribution, maps, etc.
Administer construction water at establishments (connection point location, billing, etc.).
Provide advice on: connection matters (installation solutions, long-term agreements, water meters, etc.), connection fees, subdivisions, water and wastewater rates, compliance with ABVA, the Water Services Act, and technical matters.
Set up properties and customer information in billing and case management systems (Future and Lime).
Your profile
To succeed in the role, we see that you have:
relevant education, such as water and wastewater engineer, upper secondary vocational training in water and wastewater, or equivalent experience
at least 2 years of experience in similar work
good knowledge of water and wastewater systems and general knowledge of water and wastewater legislation
good skills in MS Office
good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
It is advantageous if you have:
knowledge of water and wastewater installations and water and wastewater technology
knowledge of systems such as EDP Future and Lime
experience with GIS or mapping tools
