Area of Operations: Neurosurgery We are Akademiska Hospital – one of Sweden's leading university hospitals. As a regional hospital and provider of highly specialized care, we serve two million people in central Sweden. Then we would love for you to work with us on the neurosurgery ward 85E! We are seeking part-time colleagues interested in exciting work that gives you the opportunity to work with the most important part of the human body – the brain. "The work is varied and often challenging, but we are a good and cohesive work group with mixed experiences who support each other and help one another. Together we provide safe neurosurgical care and every day we develop both as individuals and as a team" - Maria, Registered Nurse, Ward 85E Our Operations We have a large catchment area as we are one of six highly specialized neurosurgical clinics in Sweden and we receive both planned and acute patients around the clock. The patients we care for have brain hemorrhages, tumors of the brain and spine, spinal cord injuries, vascular malformations, and hydrocephalus. The brain is our most complex and central organ and the part that determines our body and who we are. It controls everything we do, or everything we cannot do. Does that sound exciting? Come and become part of our fantastic team! You are warmly welcome to visit us to form your own impression of our ward. We have close collaboration between departments throughout our entire Neurosurgery operations area. We place great emphasis on work environment and good patient care. We have active leadership that contributes to structure and an engaged work group that together works for a sustainable and good work environment. Your Assignment As a registered nurse with us, you will become part of a skilled team where we support and help each other while you get the opportunity to develop your clinical perspective and work independently. We have close collaboration with other professions and you will be an important piece of the puzzle in both our work on work environment and patient safety on the ward. With us, you will encounter varied work with challenging tasks that will give you broad competence. As a registered nurse with us, you will work in four-person care teams during day and evening shifts, which means approximately six patients per team. Your Qualifications We are looking for you who are a licensed registered nurse with some years of experience seeking a part-time position as a registered nurse. Your Competencies You are attentive and find it easy to communicate with colleagues, patients, and families. You are an outgoing person who can work independently and together in a group. You have an interest in developing our operations where the patient is always in focus. You have the ability to prioritize and reprioritize your work tasks as needed. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities as the work requires flexibility and a positive attitude. What We Offer We are seeking registered nurses who desire a part-time position. A part-time position means that you will be scheduled with the staffing coordinator and manager where there is a need and where you are available and wish to work. We offer individual onboarding based on previous experience. With us, you will receive benefits that make a difference; read about the benefits here (https://regionuppsala.se/formaner/).
