SiS LVM-home Östfora in Järlåsa, northwest of Uppsala, receives men with alcohol, drug, or mixed substance abuse, combined with mental health issues. We have specialized expertise in medical care and are tasked with providing care for clients with special care needs.
Job Description
SiS is undergoing comprehensive transformation where operations are being developed on multiple levels simultaneously. We develop and adapt our work based on new and changing needs in both society and our own operations. As a unit manager, you lead, plan, monitor, and refine work in the unit to ensure established goals are met.
As a unit manager, you have overall treatment responsibility for clients at the unit.
You ensure that common work methods and approaches are used and followed, and you support employees in their work.
You ensure that employees have the competence for the care and treatment provided by the unit and the conditions to perform their tasks in a good and safe work environment.
As a unit manager, you have operational, personnel, and budget responsibility for the unit. To create stable and efficient unit management, your unit has, in addition to you, a group leader and a treatment secretary. The group leader's primary task is to plan, coordinate, and operatively lead and distribute daily work at the unit, and to support the unit's employees in their work. The treatment secretary is responsible for coordinating and planning care and treatment for clients at the unit. Together, you form a unit team that closely collaborates to lead operations at the unit.
You are part of the institution's management group where, together with the institution director and your management colleagues, you share responsibility for the entire operation.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
A university degree of at least 180 credits with a focus on social sciences, healthcare, or behavioral sciences, or another relevant academic degree.
Several years of experience working in operations focused on care, treatment, and safety, such as social services, healthcare and treatment, correctional services, or other relevant operations.
Documented current experience in a management role.
Driver's license (category B) and access to a car, as travel may be required for work.
It is advantageous if you have:
Experience as a manager with operational responsibility, budget responsibility, and personnel responsibility within SiS.
Previous experience as a manager in operations focused on harmful substance use and dependency.
Occupational health and safety training and previous experience in management readiness within equivalent operations.
Since operations are often event-driven, you need to be comfortable making decisions, reprioritizing, and quickly shifting both pace and direction. You are calm and professional even in demanding situations and have the ability to adapt to changed circumstances. At the same time, high demands are placed on you to have a holistic perspective and work in a structured and systematic way to ensure quality of care according to the authority's goals, guidelines, values, and applicable laws. You know how to prioritize and have an aptitude for setting goals and following up on results.

Employment:
The position is a permanent full-time employment beginning with a six-month probationary period. Start date by mutual agreement. Submit your application by August 5.
On-call duty is included in the position.
