The Swedish Armed Forces is in an expansion phase and on an extensive growth journey. The Armed Forces' cyber defense is an integrated part of military defense and constitutes a military strategic resource. Cyber defense has the capability to conduct offensive and defensive cyber operations as well as to detect, identify, and counter threats from the most sophisticated actors. The effects of a cyberattack can have consequences as significant for critical infrastructure as a conventional armed attack. 2nd Cyber Defense Regiment is seeking you—someone with extensive, solid experience and expertise in the craft of cybersecurity. You are a person who is passionate about your profession, constantly curious, and wants to stay one step ahead of an adversary. Our regiment must be prepared to face an opponent at the state actor level. Our operations require high precision and expert competence; therefore, we are looking for the best in cybersecurity. Expert areas include, for example, detection development, threat hunting, incident management, and penetration testing at a very advanced level. As a cybersecurity specialist with us, you need to be prepared to defend Sweden and our allies both within and outside Sweden's borders. You need to be solution-oriented and able to shift focus when necessary. We often work in different team constellations, which places demands on good collaboration skills among our specialists. To meet and stay ahead of an adversary requires both continuous knowledge development and competency transfer among specialists. The work also includes continuous basic military capability, as our personnel have combatant status. Anyone lacking military basic training will undergo the Armed Forces' general training (AMU) to obtain a basic understanding of military operations and personal skills. Headquarters has approximately 1,000 employees—both professional officers and civilian experts. Employment with us entails placement in a security classification. Swedish citizenship is typically required.
