We hope you will enjoy working with us! About the Job We are looking for a Senior Social Worker who wants to make a difference for children, young people, and families in Uddevalla Municipality! One of our valued Senior Social Workers is on parental leave, and we are therefore seeking a temporary Senior Social Worker to cover her absence. With us you will find a workplace with high ambitions, where learning and quality are in focus. You lead, together with your four Senior Social Worker colleagues, the daily work at the unit and collaborate closely with colleagues throughout the Children and Youth Department. The Investigation Unit consists of 28 social workers, five Senior Social Workers, one social administrator, and two operations-focused unit managers. Job Responsibilities As a Senior Social Worker, you are responsible for supervising social workers, distributing cases, and contributing to a good work environment. You ensure that preliminary assessments, investigations, and follow-ups occur in a timely manner and with high legal certainty. You provide methodological support, serve as a sounding board and knowledge resource for social workers. The role involves close collaboration with colleagues in the Children and Youth Department. You are part of the unit's management team and lead, together with unit managers and other Senior Social Workers, the development work within the unit. You are responsible for case submissions to the board and committee, and represent the board in administrative court. We are looking for someone who wants to take responsibility, lead, and develop! As a Senior Social Worker, you are an important part of creating structure, quality, and work peace in daily operations. You have a situation-adapted approach and are secure, calm, and stable in your professional role. You are not afraid of challenges and actively contribute to the development of the organization. To succeed in this role, you have a good ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. You are organized, solution-focused, and easily transition between strategic and operational work. You are a clear and communicative leader who builds trust and engagement in the work group. You adapt your leadership based on situation and individual and have the ability to identify needs and act accordingly. You see opportunities in change and have documented experience contributing to the development of work methods and quality in the organization. You express yourself well in both speech and writing and have the ability to manage several tasks in parallel while maintaining quality and structure. Qualifications Requirements Degree in Social Work or other university education that the employer considers relevant. Several years of experience with social services' authority functions within children and youth services Good knowledge of current legislation in the field and BBIC Driver's license category B Meritorious Previous experience with management within children and youth services Knowledge of the Lifecare management system We place great importance on personal suitability. Other Information Prior to employment, an extract from the criminal records register is required in accordance with Social Services guidelines. This is a temporary position with start date by agreement. The temporary assignment is valid until August 31, 2027, with possible extension. __________________________ For positions requiring certification/valid evidence from the Social Services Board of protected professional title, this must be submitted before employment. Language assessment is conducted for certain professional groups before employment can be considered. Criminal records check is conducted for all positions within the Social Services Administration. For positions in HVB facilities, an extract from the HVB facility register is requested. For positions in services aimed at children with disabilities, extracts from the children with disabilities register and a check of personal records are requested. For other positions within the Social Services Administration, an extract from the personal records check is requested.
