The Family Court in Gothenburg is part of the Social Administration Center and operates on delegation for the entire City of Gothenburg. With two unit managers, three senior family law secretaries, 32 family law secretaries, and three administrators, we are the country's largest authority in the family law field. We are now seeking a senior family law secretary for our operations, a key role that has become available. Duties We work with the best interest of the child in focus and offer support to children and parents in family law matters. Our work includes investigations regarding custody, residence, and visitation on behalf of the district court according to the Parental Code, agreements, handling of cases concerning parenthood, international and national adoptions, information meetings, and implementation of visitation support following district court decisions. The current position concerns the role of senior family law secretary. You will work on matters related to custody, residence, and visitation with a special focus on visitation support. You will play a central role in ensuring legal certainty in our work. In this role, you have a management assignment and represent the employer in daily work. You support and lead the work team, distribute and prioritize tasks, and contribute to creating structure and good conditions for employees to perform their duties. An important part of the work is methodological supervision of family law secretaries, both individually and in groups. You provide support in case handling, assessments, decision-making, and time and work planning. You also contribute to quality assurance of operations through internal controls, regular case reviews, and follow-up of documentation and case handling. You are also part of a management group together with the two managers and the two other senior family law secretaries. Together you have close daily collaboration and work jointly to lead, coordinate, and develop the operations. To contribute to the development of operations, you keep yourself updated on current legislation, case law, research, and national guidelines. You apply this knowledge in daily work and contribute to developing our methods and working practices.
