A 8 has been tasked with establishing a readiness unit as part of the multinational force for FLF Finland during 2026. As a result of this, the 19th Brigade Artillery Battalion is recruiting GSS/K personnel. This is for you who want to be part of a historic mission for the Artillery, the Swedish Armed Forces, and Sweden within the framework of NATO. Main Duties The majority of the force contribution is stationed in Boden and conducts operations within the framework of FLF Finland in both Sweden and Finland. Operations will include exercises, training, education, and readiness in both Sweden and Finland. To meet the Swedish Armed Forces' requirements for physical standards, physical training is included as part of your duties. Open Positions Archer crews AmH personnel Recovery and wheel loader teams Logistics soldiers (ammunition, fuel, and transport) Weather reconnaissance soldiers Medical personnel (medical unit) Vehicle drivers (including heavy trucks, BV410, armored all-terrain vehicles, wheel loaders, heavy all-terrain personnel vehicles, and trailers) REQUIREMENTS Qualifications · Completed basic military training with passing grades · Relevant military occupational training. The aim is that you will be employed in the position for which you received basic training. · Passed FM FysS (physical standards test) · Passed health examination Personal Qualities You have excellent teamwork skills, are proactive and responsible. You are flexible and can quickly adapt your pace when required. Great weight is placed on personal suitability. The regiment preserves and develops competencies, materiel, and methods for future capability to detect and engage targets at long range with high precision. A 8 has functional responsibility for CAS (Close Air Support)—directing air support against ground targets—and for the weather service within the Army of the Swedish Armed Forces. Combat in winter environments is a special competence for the unit in Boden.
