The teaching is based on Sami culture and the Sami language according to the curriculum for Sameskolan. Sameskolstyrelsen also operates preschools in agreement with respective municipalities. Sameskolstyrelsen has operations in Giron, Gárasavvon, Váhtjer, Jåhkåmåhkke, and Dearna. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Would you like to work at a Sami workplace? We are looking for someone with an education in economics, relevant work experience, and who wants to work at a Sami authority. Your main responsibilities include financial management, ongoing bookkeeping, budget monitoring, and handling of income and expenses, taxes, VAT, accounts payable, and financial statements. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and analyzing budgets and financial results. The work includes forecasts, key performance indicators, balance sheets, and monthly analyses of operational results. You will work both independently and in close collaboration with the authority's managers, where you serve as support in clarifying the connections between operations, personnel, and finances. An important part of the role is to communicate these connections in a pedagogical and easy-to-understand manner, so that economics becomes an effective tool for operational management. You will also participate in improvement and development work related to strategic planning and monitoring, as well as in internal controls with a focus on further developing monthly reporting to the management group. In this role, you are expected to independently plan, implement, develop, and follow up on operations within financial processes. We at Sameskolstyrelsen have a remote work agreement that makes it possible to work from home one day a week. QUALIFICATIONS You have a higher education degree in economics. Work Experience We prefer candidates with several years of experience in qualified economic work. You have practical experience with accounting, budget work, and financial monitoring, preferably from a state authority. You have strong analytical skills and can, from a holistic perspective, develop well-founded solutions. You are a team player who contributes to a positive development climate and works with your colleagues to create a work environment characterized by collaboration and continuous improvements. As an employee at a Sami workplace, you are expected to have good knowledge of Sami culture and society. Knowledge of the Sami language is a merit. To succeed in the controller role, you are flexible, thorough, and quality-conscious. You have good structure in your work and can handle and prioritize multiple parallel tasks without losing oversight. The role also requires good social competence and documented cooperation skills. You express yourself well both verbally and in writing. We are a small office, which means that collaboration between functions is an important part of the work. Good computer skills are required. Experience with Agresso and Visma Proceedo is a merit. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment form: Fixed-term employment.
