You don't need to be a superhero – but you need to be confident in yourself, responsible, and brave enough to speak up when the situation requires it. You also need to be flexible and able to adapt to both his mood and the situation. Since this is a substitute position, it's important that you can step in with short notice when needed. As a personal assistant, you become an important part of another person's everyday life. We therefore believe you are someone who stands firmly on both feet, can take responsibility and set boundaries when needed – but who can also be relaxed, have a sense of humor, and bring your whole self to the job. If you have previous experience with ADHD, intellectual disabilities, and low-emotional-intensity communication, that's a plus. However, it's just as important that you are attentive, have patience, and can keep calm even when things don't go as planned. Personal chemistry matters. You will work closely with another person, and therefore we are looking for someone who can be a reliable support when needed and at the same time help make everyday life fun and meaningful. When the client is off from his regular activities, you typically work 24-hour shifts. On other days, shifts are shorter and adapted to his schedule at his regular activities. This is a position-based employment where you work as a substitute when regular staff are sick, on vacation, or absent for other reasons. The Assistant's Role and Experience As a person, you should be positive and solution-focused. It is important that you are secure in yourself and have a great deal of personal maturity. It is a great advantage if you have experience, knowledge and understanding of working with people on the autism spectrum. The right personal qualities make up a large part of suitability. You will receive an introduction that is continuously followed up, and we will develop a joint plan so that you and the client feel secure together. The introduction includes attending our introductory training, after which you will continue with our other training programs. The trainings are mandatory and an important part of giving you the competence and tools to truly succeed in your work. Flexibility regarding working hours is something that is required, and of course this is something that works both ways. You are an important resource for us, which means we value you and your free time, but sometimes it will be necessary for you to step in at short notice when colleagues are absent. We believe in strong teamwork, which is created through availability, presence and helpfulness at all levels. Working hours will be 15:00-09:00 with awake night shifts. Since the client has his own car that is actively used in daily life, it is required that you have a driver's license.
