About the Position The Acute Care Unit (AVA) is in an exciting development phase with a clear mandate in highly specialized acute care. We care for patients with acute deterioration of vital functions or unclear conditions requiring investigation, stabilization, monitoring, and treatment. At AVA we provide advanced acute care including treatment such as non-invasive ventilation (NIV), high-flow oxygen therapy (High Flow), blood gas analysis, telemetry monitoring, and frequent NEWS2 assessments. The operations consist of three short-term and respite care units as well as four care and residential units. Duties As a nurse, you are responsible for both specialized and general nursing care with the patient's individual needs at the center. You plan, implement, and follow up on health and medical interventions, and prioritize work together with your colleagues based on the current needs of the operations. The work is varied and may involve duties across several of Lejonbacken's units. You have a central role in the team and work closely with other nurses, care staff, and other professionals. The role also includes contact and cooperation with family members. With your medical expertise, you contribute to security, continuity, and high quality of care. You mentor and support colleagues and students, and share your knowledge in daily work. The role involves both teamwork and independent responsibility. You therefore need to feel confident assessing situations, making decisions, and structuring your work. Since management or supervision is not always in your immediate vicinity, you need to be able to take responsibility for ongoing work.
