The Role of Registered Nurse The position involves working on care ward C where we operate in teams. As a registered nurse in the team, you have a supervisory function where you coordinate and share patient care work with care assistants, treatment assistants, and other professionals. At the forensic psychiatry unit, we work from the foundation of seeing the person and having the courage to be present in all situations. Our goal is to provide evidence-based and equitable forensic psychiatric care based on the individual's needs. Reduce the risk of relapse into serious criminal activity. Create conditions for the individual to manage their daily life after forensic psychiatric care has ended. The position is permanent full-time, with start date by agreement. Working hours include day, evening, and weekend shifts according to a rotating schedule. Your Future Workplace Forensic psychiatry consists of two inpatient wards in security class 3, with a combined 24 beds; this position is for one of these wards. The unit employs registered nurses, treatment assistants, care assistants, occupational therapist, social worker, psychologist, and physician. We work in teams for patients who have been admitted to forensic psychiatric care. The forensic psychiatry unit also includes an outpatient clinic. The Psychiatric Clinic in Jönköping is one of the region's largest clinics, providing both outpatient and inpatient specialist psychiatric care. The clinic offers psychiatric specialist care for residents over 18 years of age. Parts of the clinic also serve as a regional resource responsible for psychiatric intensive care, addiction care, forensic psychiatry, and emergency services, where we handle acute cases within both adult psychiatric and child and adolescent psychiatric clinics. Experience in psychiatric care, preferably in involuntary care or criminal care, is considered a merit. For this role, you need to be confident in yourself and comfortable handling different types of situations. You take responsibility for your tasks and drive your work independently. Communication is an important part of the work, and you need a good understanding of how people acquire knowledge and the ability to adapt your communication style to your audience. Furthermore, you need to be persistent and work well with complex issues. We place great importance on personal suitability.
